Glycerol, also known as glycerin, is an organic compound with the chemical formula C3H8O3. It is a colorless and odorless transparent viscous liquid that can absorb moisture from the air, as well as hydrogen sulfide, hydrogen cyanide and sulfur dioxide. It is miscible with water, alcohols, amines and phenols in any proportion, and insoluble in benzene, carbon disulfide, petroleum ether and oils. Mainly used as organic chemical raw materials, can also be used as analytical reagents and lubricating laxatives.

Applications of Glycerol/Glycerin:

Industrial use
1, used for the manufacture of nitroglycerin, alkyd resin and epoxy resin.
2. In medicine, it is used to make various preparations, solvents, hygroscopic agents, antifreeze and sweeteners, as well as external ointments or suppositories.
3, used in the coating industry to produce various alkyd resin, polyester resin, glycidyl ether and epoxy resin.
4, used in textile and printing industry to produce lubricants, moisture absorbent, fabric anti-wrinkle treatment agent, diffusion agent and penetrant.
5, used in the food industry as sweetener, tobacco agent hygroscopic agent and solvent.
6, in papermaking, cosmetics, leather, photography, printing, metal processing, electrical materials and rubber and other industries have a wide range of uses.

Daily use

Application in fruit juice, fruit vinegar and other beverages
Different quality fruits contain different levels of tannin, and tannin is the source of bitter and astringent taste in fruits.
Function: Quickly decompose the bitter, astringent odor in fruit juice and fruit vinegar drinks, improve the thick taste and fragrance of the juice itself, bright appearance, sweet and sour taste. Addition amount: 0.8%~1%
